I am a Moncton-based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, digital illustration, and photography. My education began at NSCAD where I studied painting and drawing, followed by a BFA in Film Studies from Concordia University.
My current practice focuses on the landscapes of southeastern New Brunswick, where I use my own photographs as a starting point. Rather than seeking replication, I focus on translating the feeling, atmosphere, and subjective memory of these scenes into paintings, exploring the difference between the camera’s capture of reality and the artist’s interpretation.
Joining the Studio Journal mailing list will provide you with regular updates about my practice, my thoughts about art and my inspirations, and upcoming events.
